BORDER OPENING STATUS

The New Zealand borders are open to all visa free international tourists since May 2. All visitors need to be vaccinated but there is no quarantine required on arrival.

We have created a series of new itineraries based on our own backyard, where we offer our usual "best of best" but where we add something new and different, a hiking/trekking experience, usually of 2-3 nights, in a remote part of New Zealand where you will be able to shed the cell phone and wifi and just hear silence, just for a few days. It will do you a world of good!

This is our second of four "kiwi treks" itineraries , called Hollyford Trek. Our itinerary this time focuses on the South Island mostly, starting in Auckland for a few days but then we fly right away to the bottom of the South Island to start your adventure. The way we have designed this Hollyford Trek itinerary is very simple, we give you the time to relax and get your feet on the ground in Auckland, then transfer to the bottom of the South Island and take a 3 hour road transfer to a small town called te Anau for an amazing 2-3 nights in one of New Zealand's luxury lodges, then you start your private wilderness experience for 3 days/2 nights. We handle all your luggage, your meals are all sorted and the odd bottle of Pinot is waiting each night. Once the hike is completed in magical Milford Sound, we do a short helicopter transfer to another one of our luxury lodges for a few days of relaxation in Queenstown before either flying back up to Auckland or continuing your journey to other places around New Zealand.

We have no set days or dates on this itinerary, it all depends on how much or how little time you have at your disposal. All you need to know is the hike is one way so you will never encounter hikers coming the opposite way and you will have a trekking guide with you. Each group departure . Each night you will sleep in forest lodge with showers, twin bed rooms and all your meals are looked after. BUT it also means the dates we can arrange for you to be on the hike will decide the rest of the itinerary dates. And, of course, when possible we can book the whole track just for your group and make it exclusive. To Longitude 80, New Zealand is home, and although we may be slightly biased, what they say about New Zealand is true. It’s 100% pure…. And we can’t wait for you to discover it!
