GRAND VIETNAM

Another “Grand Tour” Part of our Dream Journeys, this one for Vietnam.

Grand Vietnam is where we don’t bother about time. Grand Vietnam is where we use our 17 years of guiding across Vietnam and bring in everything we can think of that is awesome about this gorgeous country. Where we use the best of the best, where we include all our exclusives, but more importantly, where time is not of the essence. Vietnam is the dynamo of South East Asia and experienced an immediate lockdown right at the beginning of Covid19. Vietnam has the experience of dealing with this sort of pandemic being next to China and was the first country after China to shut down it’s borders and go into immediate quarantine. The result has been amazing and the envy of all it’s neighbours. Once again the country has suffered serious economic hardships but it is ready to re-open it’s borders.

From Ho Chi Minh City, we spend time learning about the Southern part of the country, venture down to the Mekong delta to spend time along the many canals and the mighty river itself before heading all the way up north to Hanoi. One of our favorite cities across Asia, we take time to meet expats and chefs, NGOs and CEOs, biking along the Red River and learning about gardening and art.

We then take a break and spend a magical 2 nights on a chartered cruise boat to cruise around Ha Long Bay magical karst islands. After, we fly to the central part of Vietnam to taste imperial food, learn about emperors and how they lived before checking out China Beach, fish with the locals, hang out in Hoi Anh village with a cold BaBaBa beer (333 in Vietnamese) and maybe do a bit of shopping. And we finish for a few nights to relax and contemplate in Amanoi, in complete seclusion.

For those that are keen a cruise up the Mekong to Cambodia is another possibility. Who knows, so many options….

But rest assured, Vietnam will deliver an amazing experience! We just can’t wait to go back.
